mid-semester update!

it's so hard to believe that it is already the end of march, where did the semester go!? over the past few weeks i have been extremely busy managing my time between sorority and greek life things, personal issues, and of course..school work. blah! over the past few weeks my sorority has been extremely busy helping to initiate and get our new members ready to finally become sisters. our new member class was initiated two weeks ago and needless to say they are loving every minute of being a part of greek life! sigma delta tau was extremely lucky to have such a great group of girls become interested this semester and im so happy to have 5 new girls in my life whom i can call my sisters. i look forward to watching them grow and become more active on our campus. my sorority also took part in Relay for Life which is truly an amazing event and I was so proud to be involved with it. Staying up for 12 hours with my sisters and some other close friends was an amazing experience and honestly, a lot of fun! we found various things to do throughout the night to keep us awake and it was a great time for everyone to bond with one another. the event was especially touching for me since the day of the event marked the one-year anniversary of my grandma passing away from cancer. the time spent with my sisters and friends helped make the day easier for me but it was still really emotional, especially since i couldn't be home with my family. events like relay for life are the perfect example as to why joining a recognized organization can be so beneficial. being able to get involved with such an important event with your sisters is a once in a lifetime experience. the past few weeks have been extremely emotional and busy for various reasons and i hope the next few weeks keep me busy as well. my sorority has a ton of events planned to help better us as a sorority and as sisters and i am looking forward to it all :-)
